Steam Modak Recipe





All You need :- Rice Flour, Oil or Ghee, Salt, Fresh Coconut, Jaggery, Cardamom Powder, Almonds


Method: - For the filling, add fresh coconut and jaggery in a non stick pan and cook at the low flame till the jaggery melts. Add cardamom powder and grated almonds in it.
In another pan, boil one cup of water. Add salt and oil in it.
Remove the water from flame and add rice flour in it and stir it continuously.
Let it cool for some time. Grease your palm with little ghee or oil and knead the dough.
Make small balls of the dough and roll them into a round shape than add filling into it and Bring all ends together to seal.
Prepare a steamer or rice cooker with water and little oil and heat it till the water comes to a boil. Place the modaks on a greased steam plate and steam them till it turns translucent.

Yum Chicken Biryani




All you need: - Chicken, Basmati Rice, Onion, Tomato, Curd , Tamarind, Ginger-Garlic paste, Red Chilli Powder, Turmeric Powder, Salt, Garam Masala, Cloves, Cinnamon, Oil and Ghee

Method: - Marinate the chicken for 1- 2 hour with red chilli powder, turmeric powder, curd and ginger –garlic paste.

Heat the rice cooker with water and add Basmati rice, salt and a spoon of ghee in it
Heat oil in a vessel and add 4 spoons of ghee in it. Add cloves and cinnamon in it. Cut the onions and fry them till it turns golden brown and after that add ginger garlic paste, a spoon of Red chilli powder, turmeric powder, Garam Masala in it. Add the marinated chicken and cover the lid and let it cook over the low flame. Once the chicken become tender add tomatoes and let it cook for 5 minutes. Now add the pulp of tamarind and curd and allow it to cook. Cook it till the oil comes out.
Take a deep vessel, put a layer of chicken mixture in it and place the rice over it and then put the remaining chicken and the final layer of rice over it. 

Optional :- You can put food colors if you want.

Seal the vessel and cook it over the low flame for 5 minutes.

Chicken Biryani is ready to serve…Enjoy!
