Talaash:- A much awaited movie

I have been waiting for this movie for so long and my search ended yesterday when I went to see the movie.

Talaash is a thriller suspense movie and has been directed by Reema Kagti. The movie features Amir khan, Rani mukherji and Kareena Kapoor. Aamir is playing a character of inspector Surjan singh shekhawat.

The movie starts with an accident of an actor which seems to be a random road accident but later it takes the shape of a murder mystery. While investigating the case Surajan Singh Shekhawat comes across with Tehmur (NawazuddinSiddiqui) a pimp’s right hand man and a prostitute called Rosy (KareenaKapoor) who may have the missing link to the mystery.

Aamir Khan has shown to be struggling with the untimely death of his son which has lead to a strained relationship with wife Rani Mukherji. The movie involves two tracks- the death of Film star and the untimely death of Surajan Singh’s son which are running in parallel. While watching the movie I was expecting the tracks to correlate to each other to make it a one full story but they stay independent of each other.

The cast has justified the characters portrayed by them. Aamir Khan has been known for experimenting with his characters. He has given very restrained performance. Rani mukherji delivers a helpless mother and wife who is grappled with the grief of his son’s death. Kareena Kapoor has taken the lime light of the movie, as a helpful sex worker rosy. She is looking beautiful in all her gaudy outfits and makeup. The other shining star in the film is a man who has been giving tremendous performance this year in various roles. As the limping Tehmur, NawazuddinSiddiqui gives a flawless performance.

The movie has been shot in Mumbai and the cameraman has captured the glory of Mumbai at its best.Lastly, this movie demands your patience and it is a good one time watch entertainment.

Moving on to my outfit, This is what I wore last week for shopping.

Winter Beauty Care

Dry/ Flaky skin, Chapped lips, Cracked heels are the most common problems that people face during winter season. In Mumbai, people never experienced much cold until last year. Now the mercury has started descending in Mumbai.

To make you ready for the winter season and to avoid skin problems here are few tips.

·         Drink lots of water, fruit juices or vegetable juices to keep your skin hydrated.

·         Consume flaxseed to moisturize your skin from within and to maintain a natural glow of your body.

·         Moisturize your skin at regular intervals throughout the day most importantly before going to bed.

·         Moisturize your body with almond oil or coconut oil or olive oil atleast twice in a week before taking shower.

·         Do not indulge yourself in long hot showers that will dry out your skin further.

·         Use a gentle scrub once in a week to remove the dead cells from your body.

·         You can try a mixture of ripped banana and honey to get rid of cracked heels. You can also apply petroleum jelly over your cracked feet and keep it over night. The results will be very satisfactory.

·         Do not lick or bite chapped lips. Use a lip balm to keep them moisturized. You can also apply glycerin mixed with raw milk to your lips that will prevent and cure chapped lips.

Winter Wardrobe Essentials

As the weather is changing and the temperature is descending, this is an indication to stock your wardrobe with winter essentials. Make sure that you have all of them to bear the chillier weather.

I have listed few items that every woman needs in her closet this winter.

Bright Jeans

These are the best way to add some brightness to the dull winter clothes. Invest in Dark Maroons, Ink blue or Red and let your pants do all the talking.

Sweater

Cashmere sweaters are perfect for the people who are living in mountain region. They are expensive but owing one of them will last a lifetime.

For office purpose, you can opt for smart V-shaped pullovers that can be paired up with the existing office attire.

Overcoat

It is worth investing in an overcoat. Peacoats are dressy enough for a cocktail party and comfortable enough with jeans.

Boots

Lot of options is available in market these days. You can choose from knee length boots to ankle length boots from high heel boots to flat boots depending upon your comfort and use.

Scarf

Scarves are the best way to accessorize in winters. They are affordable and can be tied up in endless ways.

Basic tights

The right statement tights can make an outfit. Think of investing in woolen tights or color basic tights that you can wear with your short dresses for a Night out.

Handbag

A handbag is always essential in all the seasons. This season you can invest in metallic handbag or an envelope cluth for a party or a night out.

Have a Stylish Winters and Happy Shopping.

Clicks from Diwali Dhamaka- Series 1

Diwali, a festival of lights, has bought lot of happiness and prosperity in my home and has strengthened me with new hopes and desires.

This time I got a chance to celebrate this auspicious festival with my in-laws and extended family. The festival started with Dhanteras and my hubby’s birthday (I got two reasons to dress up).

If you have read my previous blogs than you must remember that I have taken an oath of not buying new clothes for this festive season and I am happy to share that I have kept my promise. I was looking super classy in all five days of Diwali with my old wardrobe in a new way.

Here is what I wore to Dhanteras-

Suit,Santacruz (I don't remember the name of the shop)/Chappals,Last worn here)/ Mang Tikka, From my trousseau/Accessories, Everywhere

Tips:-

Accessories play a very vital role in standing out your looks. You can always chose statement ear-rings, Mang Tikka , Statement Rings, Baju bandh with your traditional outfit but do not wear everything together.

You can opt for different Hair Styles like braid, Hair bun, puff. Style them with hair accessories.

Red lipstick is in trend and it looks real classy. So, if you are comfortable in carrying the red lips than give it a try and if not than you can choose dark pink lips.

If you like the post share it further.

Healthy Indian Snack- Baked Aloo Tikki

If you like to cook healthy food for your family and want to add little more variety in snacks  than this recipe will definitely help you.

All you need-

Potatoes- Boiled and Peeled
Green Peas- Boiled
Carrot- Chopped and Boiled
Beans- Chopped
Green Chillies- Chopped
Bread crumb or Bread
Soyabean chunks – Boiled
Coriander – Chopped
Red Chilly Powder- 1tsp
Chaat Masala- ½ tsp
Salt to taste
Oil for greasing
Suji (optional)

Method - Slightly roast the bread slices, tear them into pieces and grind them in the mixi. You will get fine bread powder that you can use in place of bread crumbs.

Take a bowl. Add boiled potatoes, peas, carrots, beans, soyabean chunks and mix them well. Add all other spices and mix well.

Add the bread powder and mix well. Make small balls with the mixture and press it gently under your palms to get the shape of tikki/patty. If you want you can roll the tikki in suji.  As I have done in half of my tikkies.

Grease the patties/tikkies with little oil and bake them in the oven at 450F for 10 -15 minutes.

Sparkle (INFB Remix)

As the festive season is just around the corner, everyone is looking to add some glitter to their outfits. Glitter, Sequin and Sparkle can never be out of Fashion but it has always been more dominant in night time. This season you can take the experimental path by choosing glitters for the day time. You can choose the safe route with belts, shoes, handbags, jewellery or a hair accessory or you can go little wild with sparkly jacket, top or may be pants.

I wore my sequin top with black jacket. Black jacket is considered to be formal but you can try wearing it with sequin sparkling top to add more versatility to your favorite black jacket.
